The 2015 ACS Public Speaking was held at St Michael’s Grammar School in front of an appreciative audience. The night opened with the seniors speaking on a variety of topics such as; Parole, Feminism, The Urban Man, 1 month 28 days 17 minutes, and Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. Some were poignant, others amusing but all entertaining.
The juniors followed with very powerful topics; Intelligence v Wisdom, Impact, Anxiety and Depression in Adolescence, Child Poverty, Feminism, The Hipster Handbook and A Child’s Mind. Another excellent group of speakers.
The Intermediate group was of a superb standard across all speakers so much so only one point separated each of the speakers. Their topics included; The Value of Words, Educating the Heart and Soul, Gossip, American Gun Laws, Adam Goodes, Who is Next?
Congratulations to all speakers on a fine evening of public speaking and thank you to our host school St Michael’s Grammar School and our adjudicators from the Debaters Association Victoria.
