ACS Athletics Championships 2026
Monday 1 June | 10:00am – 5:00pm
Lakeside Stadium, Aughtie Drive, Albert Park

The stage is set for one of the most anticipated events on the ACS calendar, as the 2026 ACS Athletics Championships return to iconic Lakeside Stadium on Monday 1 June 2026. Schools from across the association will gather for a full day of track and field competition, with events commencing at 10:00am and concluding with the always electric relay finals in the afternoon.

For more than a decade, ACS Athletics has been defined by one of the great rivalries in school sport. The overall premiership has largely become a tug-of-war between Westbourne Grammar School and St Leonard’s College, with the two powerhouse programs repeatedly trading places at the top of the standings. In 2025, Westbourne reclaimed the ultimate prize in a thrilling championship, narrowly finishing ahead of St Leonard’s after another fiercely contested carnival.

But the chasing pack is closing fast.

St Michael’s Grammar School, Overnewton Anglican Community College and Loyola College have all made significant strides in their athletics programs in recent years, developing greater depth across both track and field disciplines and emerging as genuine threats to challenge for the championship.

The addition of Aitken College and Bacchus Marsh Grammar, combined with the continued growth of St Aloysius College, has transformed ACS Athletics into one of the most competitive and unpredictable carnivals in recent memory.

From explosive sprint races and tactical middle-distance battles, to high-pressure relays and dramatic field events, every point will matter as schools compete for year-level pennants and the coveted overall aggregate trophies.

With rivalries intensifying, emerging programs rising, and the standard of competition continuing to lift across the board, the question remains:

Who will claim the ultimate prize in 2026?
