A big welcome back to all our member schools and community. 2022 brings about some new and exciting developments to the ACS.
Further to the introduction of flexible fixturing last year for our Seniors, we are expanding this model to the Intermediate level (Years 8/9) this year. Years 8’s will now play on a Thursday afternoon combined with the Year 9’s in the Intermediate level.
As a result, we have been able to add additional competitions for Boys Basketball, Cricket, Hockey and Softball, as well as Girls Softball, Tennis and Volleyball in the Summer Season.
For Winter, we are pleased to offer additional competitions for Girls Basketball, Football 10’s, Hockey and Table Tennis, as well as Boys Soccer, Tennis and Volleyball.
There will be an additional Mixed Touch competition for Summer and an additional Mixed Badminton competition added to the program.
This increase in opportunity will allow for students to play their first preference sport as much as possible and reiterates the importance of student participation within the ACS model.
It is with great excitement that St Aloysius College, North Melbourne, will join our Year 7 Girls Tennis and Volleyball competitions this term, as well as join us for our annual Carnivals. We welcome St Aloysius and wish the teams well.
After a challenging two years, we look forward to a full program of ACS sport in 2022.
