2017 Senior Summer Grand Finals
The short senior summer season saw several very close competitions, and this continued in grand final matches. 1st Futsal had a tight final with Westbourne squeezing out Overnewton 11 – 10. In 2nd Girls Softball it was a close match with Loyola edging out Westbourne 10 – 9. 1st Cricket saw a very tight affair between Thomas Carr and Loyola, with Loyola being bowled out in the last over only 5 runs short with 3 balls remaining. In other matches there were ongoing dominant displays such as; St Leonard’s Touch Football taking out the 1st premiership for the fifth year running and in 2nds Touch Football St Leonard’s have won the past 6 finals. Despite St Leonard’s dominance Thomas Carr were determined competitors and pushed St Leonard’s to produce their best. Westbourne continue their dominance in Table Tennis winning successive premierships and 7 out of the last 9 in the 1sts. The 2nds Westbourne team have now won 8 premierships in a row. St Michael’s outstanding Volleyball record continued with winning the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Girls Premierships. Congratulations to all teams that competed and well done to all Premier teams.
